This past spring I was completely taken by the cuteness of the chicks that arrived at the feed store where I work. Some were straight run so I took a chance and gathered what I thought would be the best from the group of 200 plus. And I must say I am so pleased! I have ended up with a grand total of 34 hens and 4 roosters. Randy, the main rooster, you have already met. Today I’d like to introduce you to the new guys…..
First we have an adorable Silver-Laced Polish
“Mama, I need a hairy cut!”
‘You better love me Mama!”
I was kinda hoping you were a hen but that’s okay!
I adore this Polish….
Then we have this beautiful little bantam and I have no idea what he is but I love him….
“Hi Mama, did you bring me a snack?!”
“Fine, I don’t need a snack”
I don’t know what he is but he sure is pretty, just look at those legs!
Hey Pretty Bird!
“I’ve no idea what all this fuss is about!”
“Mama, stop looking at me”
Then there is the mate to my favorite chicken…he is so cute as is she…..tiny, sweet, perfect!

“I really LOVE snacks, thank you Mama!”
“I LOVE snacks!”
“What!? I have to SHARE!?”
“Next time just bring more, okay Mama?”
I wasn’t really planning on roosters but considering the amount of females I was blessed with….it works out perfectly! Love you guys!

Thanks, I love them! I almost got rid of the 2nd rooster about a month ago. He was SO ugly, I’m glad I didn’t give up on him! 🙂

I’m about to add some chickens to my menagerie, but I’ve insisted on hens only…Still, you’re roosters look lovely.
