Now, before any of y’all get your feathers in a wad.  I am NOT a supporter of cock fights, dog fights, people fights or any violence in general.

And, all I wanted to do tonight was watch the Academy Awards.  I’ve been looking forward to it for days.  Only, when I went to turn it on I couldn’t pick up anything other than Dateline and Andy Griffith re-runs.  And, Addie used up all my internet data watching Scooby-Do.  No live steaming for me, not on this night.

So.  Since I thought these two roosters gave an Oscar-worthy performance themselves.  I’d just go ahead and give them their moment.  Like I hope Leo gets later tonight.  I’ll read about it in the morning.  My heart will go on.

But, back to the roo’s.  I wrote last week about the Rooster Next Door.  Well.  He was visiting unbeknownst to me.  And I let the chickens out for a bit of freedom.  Then, all hell broke loose.

 Here comes Doodle, full speed across the yard toward Randy……..

BOOM!

Knocked. Doodle. OUT.
But only for a split second…..

I never knew chickens had such control over their feathers, they looked like lions!

Pause for a moment here. I would like to point out all this happened in a matter of less than a minute while Addie ran to the house to get the broom which I used to whoop them apart.

I have to admit, it was a bit fascinating. I have a whole new respect for them.

These fellows are SERIOUS about defending their familes, or in the case of Doodle, trying to steal a family.

The broom arrived. Doodle went home.
And the Oscar goes to……

But I think he already knew.
