First Outing

Remember those adorable chicks I introduced y’all to last month?  Well they have been growing like crazy and were REALLY ready to bust out of their little crate alongside their mother.  So I let them out to explore the world they hatched into and while doing so discovered something.  Baby chickens are the most difficult thing in the world to photograph.  At least in my humble, non-professional, chicken-minded opinion.  Those little jokers were FAST!

A good time was had by all.

Then Mama needed a rest. So of course the children zoomed all around…..oh yes, they call her the streak!  We are HOPING they are both hens.

  1. I had a hysterectomy in May, so this morning I’m catching up on my reading of your past blogs. The photos of the chicks and their mama in First Outing are simply adorable!! Thank you for sharing ❤️.
Best of luck on your move! Can’t wait to see and hear about your new digs…especially with having no water, electricity or dwelling- yikes! You all must be building a new home on the property? Anyway, I’m sure it will all work out.

    • Yes, we have been working on a driveway and housepad. Water and electric soon to follow! Bless your heart on your surgery! Not fun! Thanks for reading and I hope I’m more consistent in the future!!!
