Stressed vs Relaxed

Whilst prancing in and out of the house over the course of an afternoon I noticed, on the 28th trip inside, that Agent had not moved in approximately 6 hours, 33 minutes and 5 seconds.  I considered thumping him gently to make sure there was still life present but upon closer inspection I saw he was breathing.

While the tiny area between the freezer and the smoker is not my ideal napping spot Agent seems to think it perfect.  If you have been asleep for 6 hours, 33 minutes and 5 seconds is that even considered a nap?  I wonder………..

This chicken I considered thumping for another reason entirely.

See the open beak?  “BraaaBraaBRWARRRRRKKKKK!”  “BraaaBraaBRWARRRRRRRKKKKKK!”  “BraaaBraaBRWARRRRRRKKKKKKBraaaBraaBRWARRRRRRKKKKKKK!”

See how irritating that is?  I call it the “I am a silly chicken who has lost my flock-mates and am now all stressed out even though they are only 20 feet away but I can’t see them and I’m not gonna bother moving to find them so I’m just gonna stand here and freak out” cry.

Freaked out chicken is only about 3 feet away from sleeping cat.  I am not sure how this is even possible.

I think he is SMILING in his sleep.  He is probably dreaming about eating that super annoying chicken.

As a matter of fact that doesn’t seem to be such a bad idea…….
