The Still of the Fall

There is nothing as pleasant,

No nothing at all, than to sit and be quiet in the still of the fall.

To sit, to be quiet and maybe just draw, is what I like to do in the still of the fall.

The words, they fall silent, as good words should be, taking their cue from the leaves of the trees.

So I’ll sit and be quiet, and yes, I will draw.

And wait for the words in the still of the fall.

I penned the above poem in pencil, on the back of the drawing pictured here. I had about 3 hours alone, at home. A very rare event indeed!

p.s.  This isn’t ALL I did in 3 hours.  I also painted and did 2 loads of laundry.
